Why do you need a question mark at the right? I don't need one.

Tyberius says, the difference probably lies in your links already being in your own computer's cache. Purge everything after browsing, and you, too, will lose the ability to see the images by either clicking on the link or by copying it as is on a new tab or window.
No. I just tested it yet again, but this time from a computer that had never accessed TrekCore before. It works as I described, by pasting the link as is; no extra question mark needed. But there are theoretically all sorts of reasons why it might behave differently for me than for some other user. As
Tyberius said, there could be other "voodoo" at work. That voodoo could potentially include ISP proxy servers or web server reverse proxies, all too off-topic to delve into here.
Sometimes it's useful to have the pictures show up on the forum, in which case one can use services like Flickr or ImageShack to store them (even if it's a lot of silly effort, and still consumes somebody else's web resources). Most of the time, though, simple links will probably be better: I for one like opening the relevant pictures (and only the relevant pictures) in separate windows where I can zoom and otherwise adjust them separately, and it's also nice to avoid stretching the forum pages with large pics.
Yeah, I did that for the most interesting picture, the one in
Requiem for Methuselah that I thought was the most surprising. It's a waste of time to set up, especially if I would only be duplicating the images, fair use or not, as well as a silly consumption of resources, to do it for all of them.
Of course, I should have said, "The only Starfleet door handle in all of TOS..."
And if we are going to be technical, which we are being, you appear to be right. The situation in
Court Martial is only a hinged door, and no door handle or knob is ever shown, certainly not on the side of the door we actually see, even though the door is definitely on hinges (real world explanation could be to shave production time or budget).
So, I probably should revise the count I gave upthread from 17 episodes down to 16.
