Theory for TOS Enterprise and Disco Enterprise differences

It doesn't look ridiculous. It looks fucking awesome.
In your opinion.

The DSC version will probably still have physical buttons because the current DSC sets have physical buttons. They just probably won't look as colourful, same with the screens.
I'm just going to put this in here to save us a lot of time:

And now I'll be over here:

A possible example of what the Bridge's screens/buttons will look like, might be the Number One's data pad in Episode 4.

Yeah. I really hate this. I have my own opinions. Other people have theirs. But the yes, no, yes, no, yes, no crap really needs to end.

I prefer debate where I make my case, the other side makes theirs, we put our all into it, and we basically argue up to the point of a stalemate where we mutually agree to disagree.

With all the dislike of colorful ship interiors, i can see how Starfleet ended up turning their ships to dark, moody places, taken to extremes in the later movies and DS9 and voyager. It got so bad that in one episode the Kazon leader demanded turning up voyagers lights after he took over the ship.

Let's be fair. Voyager was supposed to be a stranded ship. Conserving power would make sense.

Who is disliking colourful ship interiors? There's nothing wrong with that. Ship interiors that look like cheesy cardboard sets with no realism and function, on the other hand...

The TOS bridge done right has plenty of realism and function, like ship status readouts, as seen in these images per the TOS PC game Judgment Rites (these readouts are relevant in playing the game and are not fluff) :

Anything can have that, if done right.

On screen bridges have not left me with that impression, as of yet. TOS is probably closet, followed by the Defiant, with Kelvin Enterprise and Voyager filling out the top four slots.

I'm pretty sure the people at New Voyages and Continues redesigned the interfaces and screens to be actual working TV and computer monitors so they could display actual images from them. The images of random galaxies or whatever either being long range sensor data from some mission related long range observations, or screen savers for monitors not needed that shift.

Really? If they're real screens, then why do they still only show static images?

They didn't. Look closer. There's not a lot of animation, so they don't become distracting or disrupt the sixties vibe, but there's always movement. The bar graphs shorten and lengthen, there's slow pans and zooms across the astronomical photos, different sections of the charts light up and blink.

I highlighted the key words in your post. The TOS bridge, unfortunately, was not.

The Kelvinverse Enterprise, on the other hand, showed us what the TOS bridge done right looks like.
You don't feel the TOS bridge in the game screenshots i posted have function? Those readouts were used for actual combat and navigation in the game itself .

I'm getting tired of these closed-minded arguments that ignore the showrunners' statements on Discovery. It is the Prime universe, PERIOD. Why? Because they said so. Arguing that visual inconsistencies imply an alternate timeline is simply puerile. Heck, the bridge of Discovery changed between season 1 and season 2 IN THE MIDDLE OF A SCENE! Clearly S1 and S2 are in different timelines.

Not to mention the Enterprise swooping in, then being followed up with a "all systems failed!" distress bit.
