Well I'm looking forward to it, even if I'm frustrated with the Lost opportunities with the franchise.
We know Jean and Scott survive this time, we are just waiting to see how.
I'd be more than happy if Marvel just does a soft reboot with the same characters and avoids rehashing origins and repeat relationships. There is a massive amount of potential X-men stories they could explore without retreading old territory.
That said, since defeating Thanos will require resetting the timeline, any changes could and should be explained expressly by one of the characters (maybe Logan or Charles, whose brains have assimilated multiple timelines, or Jean using a remnant of the Phoenix force), commenting in the first Marvel movie that something is up with the timeline. Again. And just move on.
