The X-Men Cinematic Universe (General Discussion)

Still, it is a little weird to add a whole new character so late in the game. I'm not saying doom and gloom, just that it seems odd.
I was a bit surprised too.
Probably someone that will help conect to the larger universe would be my mostly uneducated guess.
That could be, or it could be somebody that can add a bit more exposition or something.

Oh, you've seen it already?

As a New Mutants fan, this movie has less to do with the New Mutants then Catwoman had to do with the comic version of Catwoman. I have never seen a movie based on a superhero/superhero team that throws out everything and is still good. It didn't work for movies like Catwoman, Steel, and Fant4stic, and its not going to work with New Mutants. At least those movies were still action or action/adventure/sci fi type stuff. This is taking a good superhero team and putting characters with similar names into a shit PG-13 horror movie. FOX doesn't give a shit about the property so they're just putting out crappy movies and slapping the x-men name on them.

I like how you didn't answer my question. :bolian:

Oh, I know. I'm just calling him out on it.

Oh yeah, you're really calling me out with your snooty comment. I don't need to see the movie, something you're quite aware of. I'm talking about my opinion, and I'm basically always correct when predicting what I'll think of the movies. Especially with FOX made superhero movies, where the only mistake I've made is thinking X-Men: Apocalypse might be better then mediocre.

(Also, yes, I did forget about this topic for 11 days, but whats a little delay when it comes to confronting people making shitty comments).

So I haven't been following the X-Universe explanations too closely. Can someone let me know what the explanation is for Wolverine getting his adamantium back after The Wolverine?

There wasn't one, just like how they never explained how Xavier came back seeing how most didn't know about X3's final scene.

They also didn't explain how Magneto's powers were restored either.

The next time we see Wolverine he's in cahoots with one Erik Lensherr... seems fairly obvious.

Magneto's powers were already beginning to come back at the end of X3.

I don't know how you reached the bolded conclusion

Probably just going by an impression based on internet comments at the time, admittedly not a scientific poll or anything.
