I just bought The Wire box set (it was cheaper than buying seasons 2-5 individually) and it mentions some "prequel" material. Does anyone know if the clips that Capt. Vulcan mentions and the prequel stuff in the box set are one in the same?

Boy, I want that box set. But the individual sets will do for now.

"The Wire Chronicles," as those prequels are called, are also available online. I believe they made three, for Omar Little, Prop Joe, and McNulty/Bunk.
