I really wish I bought it a few years ago when it was about £100 on Amazon.

I know. You can add VAT to that which would take it up to around £160.

US store doesn't seem to ship to the UK, though I daresay the shipping plus the customs admin charge would easily make up the difference anyway.

I was so disappointed when I missed the clearance sale when they were $29. I even put in an order for one but they gave me the TNG one instead, which I didn't want so returned. The MSRP is too much, but $29 was a steal.

It was EB Games here that was clearing them out for $29 each. That's like 15 gbp I think....

Yeah it was 2017 when they were trying to clear them out.......so funny how quickly they shot up after they left the shelves when they had trouble selling the stock initially.

Since I've yet to win the lottery that I don't play, it looks like I'll have to pass on another re-issue. This is unfortunate since I've looked forward since the days of the flip phone to be able to answer someone on an authentic communicator rather than my cheap, crappy, generic android.

I did manage to buy the Next Gen Combadge version some time back, but have never really gotten much use of it both because it doesn't work very well and I'd like to avoid the "He's an escaped mental patient" stares I would no doubt receive having to attach it to my shirt and talk into it.

My communicator arrived a couple of weeks ago. Outer cardboard box was a bit beaten up because they posted it in a polylope type thing instead of a box, which was strange.

But who cares! It's got a great hard plastic case holding all the components. I haven't even tried using the Bluetooth functions yet, I'm just rocking out having conversations with the crew. No Chekov clips seems a strange omission, so presumably this is season one specific.
