The Walking Dead Season 5

But, yea, kinda strange to have a Zombie victim so close and no mention of it, especially by Gabriel.

That's just random bad-luck victim #563 on this show. How many times have our people come across someone who just died or just got attacked?
Yea, but, it seems the Community Leadership would want recon on it, in case a victim being so close was either someone known to them, or could present a threat. They thoroughly check out potential invitees from miles around, but, don't know about something that happened right outside their gates?

I'm thinking of the human victim so close as something for the VIEWERS to be concerned about...Gabriel is brand new to this, and so messed up emotionally right now...he would have NO IDEA the implications of a live human so close, and not even bother to tell anyone....or if he did, he'd just mention the walker, and not investigate, let alone mention this newly dead human.

Gabriel is definitely a threat to our heroes...but more because of his accidental ignorance at this point.

Rick's actions snuffed out any other option for someone in Pete's state of mind, but that doesn't make it Rick's fault. Pete is still responsible for his own actions.

Now that Rick set the events in motion--events leading to fulfilling his desire to kill Pete...in front of Morgan and Daryl (no one should underestimate the effect it will have on him), this cannot go well for Rick in the bigger picture. IF the writing is honest.

So a lot of people are speculating (for obvious reasons) that Glenn is going to regret not killing Nicolas and he'll be the cause of some sort of harm to Glenn, Maggie, or someone like that, but there's another decent possibilty. It seems to me that if Glenn reports on all of Nicolas's crimes, Rick will sentence him to death right away. That would be a perfect opportunity for Morgan to chime in and start butting heads with Rick. Maybe the reason Nicolas survived the finale is so his fate can be the focal point of an episode or two at the start of next season.

Nicolas is far from finished, I imagine. I do not see him transforming into an ally, but at the same time, if he dies, Rick might not be the one who kills him, as Nicolas would serve the drama better if he sets up ASZ to be overrun by Wolves--or the next main adversary.

On that note, Hurd claimed season 6 would have bigger threats than humans, but I feel that's misdirection on her part, since everyone and their uncle thinks the Wolves will be as short-lived as Terminus, so it leaves the door open for the arrival of Negan.

Gabriel is definitely a threat to our heroes...but more because of his accidental ignorance at this point.

Gabriel has come to terms with his actions at the church; his praying with troubled Maggie & Sasha (losing faith and becoming a soulless killing machine, respectively) is aid no other member of the group can offer at all. Glenn's support still failed to address Maggie's shaken faith / making sense out of the death of Beth, while Michonne--talking to Sasha in the same way she spoke to Tyreese--was not changing anything.

Their problems were bigger than a hug and tough "love." For now, Gabriel is their best way of overcoming tragedy and a loss of purpose. that does not mean he will not have more problems--particularly with Rick, but he is the only one helping two women previously crushed by loss.

Agree to both.

Deanna sure changed her tune quick enough when Pete made it personal for her. Kill people? That's not what we do here....Unless it's revenge for my husband.
Carol might as well give up with the casseroles. No one appreciates them.

Well, her husband was valuable--the closest thing to a decent man since Dale or Herschel after all. Gabriel is closer to the Alexandrians in mindset, and frankly I began to lose all sympathy for the group.

Did anyone get a (Voyager) Janeway vibe from Deanna besides me?

Deanna would have definitely destroyed the Caretaker Array after an insane Prime Directive speech. Rick would have gotten everyone home during the pilot and killed off the Kazon on the way.

Chad Coleman aka Tyreese was apparently having a bad day.

Former The Walking Dead star Chad L. Coleman had a rough Friday. As seen in a video posted on YouTube (below), the actor had what appeared to be a meltdown on a New York City subway.
Coleman played Tyreese on AMC’s zombie hit until his character was killed off earlier this year, and also played Cutty on HBO’s The Wire. Both roles were brought up by Coleman himself during the rant, as he gave shout-outs to his Hollywood history and made statements about humanity.
“Where my humanitarians are?” yelled the actor during the awkward, four-minute-long video. “Yes! I’m Chad L. Coleman! I’m on The Wire, I’m on The Walking Dead, I’m not trying to play no f—ing games with you. Where is your humanitarian?! Don’t tell me I’m making this up!”
Coleman also encouraged passengers to record his post-Tyreese tirade. “That’s the goddamn truth,” he said. “So if you need to record it, get your phone out!”
According to TMZ, Coleman said that he was sober when the video was shot. The actor told TMZ he was angered by a fellow passenger’s use of the n-word, as well as frustrated by the Freddie Gray case in Baltimore (which is where The Wire was set and filmed).

Are we absolutely sure he want a little drunk. People on the tube get street performance of that quality and don't applaud at the end

Kind of weird to think of mellow Tyreese going off like that. I don't know if he was stoned or not, but he doesn't seem to know how to use the word 'humanitarian.' But whatever his condition, obviously all this was bottled up inside and somebody triggered him. It's understandable, considering the situation in Baltimore and the provocations he was dealing with. Sometimes you're mad as hell and just can't take it anymore.

The article says he apologized, but stands by his message; can't fault him for that.

Another Walking Dead actor arrested for DUI, Pot possession, and reckless driving. The producers may want to consider having car service for all of the actors on this show. This is the second DUI arrest for one of the actors in 2 years.

Father Gabriel aka Seth Gilliam arrested for DUI other offenses

Seth Gilliam, who plays the tortured soul Father Gabriel Stokes on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” was arrested Sunday for DUI, pot possession, reckless driving and speeding.
According to the Peachtree City police report, Gilliam was pulled over at Highway 74 and Senoia Highway, going 107 miles per hour in a 55 zone at about 2:12 p.m. Sunday.
The officer wrote:
When asked why he was traveling at such a high rate of speed, Gilliam
said that he normally drove a Jeep and that the car was a rental and was
different. Gilliam mentioned that he had three beers and a shot of alcohol. He
was escorted to my vehicle where he was placed in the rear seat and buckled into
the safety belt.
Gilliam was placed under arrest for reckless driving and speeding.
The police then found a marijuana cigarette in his Chevrolet Cruze and drug possession was added to the charges. He was sent to the Fayette County Jail, where he was booked. While there, he was also charged with a DUI after failing sobriety tests.
My colleague Alexis Stevens confirmed he is now out of jail and posted bond.

Drunk and driving 107.

There's no excuses for endangering the lives of everyone else on the road. Unacceptable.

Maybe he found out he was going to be killed on the show & got real depressed.

if this was Lost, the writers would have reacted by killing him off!

Dumb ass move for sure. Likely he can finish shooting season 6 before having to face the music on these charges.

I live here in GA - Atlanta area. And having visited Senoia it's easy for anyone with a lead foot to start being, "reckless," on what really is some fairly empty and straight roads.

However, non-natives wouldn't also know that the entire area is, 'over-policed,' generally and he was a sitting duck for any squad car parked on the side of road waiting for a speeder.

He should have explained that the normal rules of civilization do not apply in the Zombie Apocalypse.
