The Walking Dead Season 3

I love how the reasoning that Axel is a rapist is based solely on the looks of the guy playing him, despite absolutely no on-screen evidence that he's that type of character whatsoever. I mean, not even a tiny little hint that he's a rapist. Not a wink at any of the girls (or anyone else for that matter); nothing.

But yeah, he looks kinda shifty so he must be a rapist. ???

The reason people are talking about Axel isn't because of his looks

In the comics, one of the prisoners they rescued turned out to be a killer. Now, this guy wasnt called Axel, in the comics Axel was a good guy, but he pretended to be harmless, and then decapitated two women.

Now the series doesnt follow the comics to the letter, but they do follow the major headlines, changing parts here and there to better suit their needs. People are worried that Axel will decapitate Beth, not rape her, and its not because of his looks

Your confused. The character you are referring to was not Axel.

I hope he doesn't turn into a rapist as that would be too predictable and he has really shown no signs of him being one either, would like to get to know the character better but I fear him and the other prisoner won't be in this show long.

I'm guessing that Oscar dies during the raid on Woodbury. Someone's gotta die and i don't see Rick, Michonne or Daryl dying anytime soon.

I hope not; although former "longtimers" such as Lori, Dale, T-Dog and Shane met their end, the show needs to avoid introducing expendable new characters. It would be interesting to develop Oscar into someone who can continue to rise above his inmate status (he's already displayed some moral sense in his reaction to the hermit's death and use as zombie food) and add another wrinkle to the character dynamic.

His death will make room for...a surprise

Do tell!

Fan-favorite comics character Tyreese is going to be introduced in the next episode. Oscar is likely a goner soon based on that alone.

Well, they killed off the last black guy just when they got a new one...

(let's hope they won't do that again)

Well, it is set in the South. :rommie:

I hope that doesn't mean Micchone is doomed. I want her around for a good long while.

Michonne and Tyreese can co-exist, but the cynical of us don't expect two black guys to be in the group at the same time.

Hollywood has conditioned us that way. :p

(That said, the comics later on do have two black men in the group at the same time - at least for a short while.)

Is this a surprise at this point, the producers are hyping it like crazy.
Probably not, but I've always erred on the side of caution in these threads.

Well...
As Lauren Cohan puts it here:
Some huge lives are going to be thrown into question.
That's very ambiguously worded, but I think the implication is someone important is going to die in the mid-season finale (unless she just meant the whole Glenn/Maggie capture thing).

I think it's pretty possible that Oscar could die simply because they're raiding a heavily armed compound so somebody is probably going to die and the guys who aren't in the opening credits are most at risk. The other non-contractual members of the group - Axel, Beth, Hershel, Carol and Judith - are all sitting this raid out.

Of course contracts don't make you invulnerable, as with Lori earlier this season (while getting out of the show was the reason Shane and Dale were offered) so the series could kill someone improtant to go out with a bang. I'd hope whoever they go for it isn't Maggie, Glenn or Daryl, in that order.

In the Previews, Carl seems to be worried about a female. It doesn't make sense to off Judith "Ass Kicker" at this point (Lori died in child birth, Maggie and Glenn captured getting formula, Michonne bringing the formula). Carol just "came back from the dead", so, I think it's a good possibility Maggie's sister (Beth?) may be in grave danger.
