Teaser for Season 3:
So this episode could happen. So, is there any reason as to why they simply just didn't find a boat and sail across the channel instead of taking the tunnel?
They were following the lead of Fallou, who promised safe passage to England, which Fiona and Angus were to provide via the channel, so they did not take any detours to find a boat. So, is there any reason as to why they simply just didn't find a boat and sail across the channel instead of taking the tunnel?
At its most narrow, the English Channel is only 21 miles across. Just sailing the boat West, they would bound to reach England in a day at the most.
Teaser for Season 3:
Will Codron return? I like that character.
Agree. Usually in the franchise when someone doesn't die they come back eventually. That depends on the state of his mind; he ran off into the tunnels (not certain about the direction) still under the effects of the psychoactive fumes. Without a mask, his only chance would be to find his way out of the tunnel, where the effects might wear off in time. After making one of the most significant personal journeys / transformations in recent TWD TV franchise history, it would be a letdown for Codron to simply lose his mind, disappear and that's that.
That's a common complaint about TWD TV franchise--that the writers will introduce new and occasionally great characters, only to kill them off to get a reaction from the legacy characters. If you check out various social media platforms, there's been a sizable outcry over Isabelle's death, with many feeling she was what Daryl needed in his life going forward. Makes me wonder if he will be written to regress in season three of his series. My only complaint with the new shows is they kill off pretty much everyone that is new.
Yes, if season three is 80% Daryl and Carol finding new ways for killing and/or revenge, one would be better off playing a video game, where that kind of thing is the order of the day. Assuming Daryl Dixon's second season really brought closure for Daryl (regarding Isabelle--though I still feel that's too soon) and Carol (regarding Sophia), then there will not be weighty, emotional tools to be used to drive the characters going forward. The last thing I want to see is yet another despot running a group for some anti-social reasons, leaving it up to the Dynamic Duo to destroy the enemy group.Season 1 was different than other TWD shows. Now it is just Daryl and Carol killing everyone again and any other character dying.
