I cried the first time as well, but the plot faults are far more interesting and are usually not picked up on during the first viewing because one's filling up buckets with the product of lacrimal glands. If I drank, like what my filthy ex did, then maybe that helps. I'm no alkie though. (Kudos to those who turn their lives around. Those who gleefully say they're off the wagon or don't care, that's probably another story.)

It's a "meh" episode.
It's one of those episodes that didn't really happen. Like Miles in prison for 20 years.

It's a "meh" episode.

Same. I watched that episode and thought it was pretty average, maybe a bit below par for DS9. Watched it with a bunch of other people over the years and they've had the same reaction. Always strange to see it praised online.

Just didn't seem like Jake.
