The Valkyrie

Tiberius Jim

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I'm starting a new project, similar in scope to my "Fire & Ice" pieces, this time using a drawn ship instead of a model, and this time she's a bit more of a looker :)

Here's a sneak peek at the first draft of the sketch, I have a few more details to iron out before I head into the rendering stage.

Comments/feedback more than welcome.

I can easily see it as a late Voyager - early First Contact era ship, maybe a class between the Nova and the intrepid. Looking forward to seeing more!

I like it, but i think that the nacelles look too big, like it's rear-heavy and out of proportion. I love the saucer; it reminds me of the Prometheus.

The size of the ship makes me think of a frigate or something like that. So other than what i feel to be over-sized nacelles, i love it.

Maybe the Valkrie's oversized engines can be explained by new technology: maybe this ship is using an early Federation attempt at a working transwarp drive.

Amazing!
Any chance of you creating schematic views once you´re done? The guys over at SFM will probably fight over who gets to create a 3D model of it.

Definitely. My last week of school is next week and I'll be on break, which means much more free time for me!
