^ I don't remember that one...
Someone made this a long while ago:

I used to change my av now and again, but I pretty much stick with Phillip Pine these days. For halloween I zombied him up a bit.

When I started out, I took a photo of one of the Vulcan cadets in the DS9 episode Valiant and started giving her pips as I rose in the ranks. Around the beginning of the summer, I found a picture of Sakonna, and I figured I would be a Maquis rebel until school started up again. By the end of the summer, my avatar had become so intertwined with my online persona that I decided to keep her. (I've switched between various shots from The Maquis part I and The Maquis part II, but the one I have up now is my favorite.)

Mine's a scan from the Complete making of Indiana Jones book. ILM was making Temple of Doom and Search for Spock at the same time. My avatar is a crop from the poster for the Indy-Trek party they had. It's Spock dressed as Indiana Jones. His hat was very tapered in the original so I fixed it to be more screen accurate.

I usually use avatars involving images of Connor Trinneer (yeah, I'm hooked!). I very very rarely ever wear one that was made by someone else...

The one I'm wearing now was made from a a gorgeous image I got in a recent e-mail.

I'll get back to CT soon...

My avatar is a creature I created with the Spore creature-creator last year and I use it because a) it has a face and b) I know that nobody else in the universe is going to use it. :p My current avatar is a monstrous version of it to fit the Halloween theme.

I've had mine for many years. Spaceman Spiff did it for me.

It is, of course, Calculon from Futurama, one of my favorite TV shows of all time. It's the party episode where he utters one of my favorite lines....

"Pull up a groove and get fabulous!"

Anyway, I just love the look. A lounge lizard robot. It makes me chuckle.

:techman:
