I liked that movie but wasn't it based on a true story? How does one do a sequel?
In the movie, that was the captain's first cruise in command of the ship (early 1942). Unless they are sunk, Destroyers will escort more than one convoy during WWII. Maybe it is going to be about a cruise, or events that occurred later in the war.

What if...Tom Hanks as now Captain Krause is assigned as fire support for Omaha Beach...and his destroyer is one of those sunk? But he saves Captain Miller and his men in doing so...

There were a few destroyers who earned 15 or more Battle Stars in WW2. As a comparison, the Enterprise had 20.

That's about as unnecessary as you can get.

Yeah, I adore Flanagan's work but there's absolutely no need to remake The Mist (although for the record I actually disliked Darabont's change to the ending of the novella which was originally more hopeful) and I really wish Flanagan would move away from just doing King adaptations.

I hope this time they have to guts to follow the novels and send them to the Moon!!

"The Rockford Files" is a famous older TV series, hardly digging around in the dirt. You want to get in the dirty, try re-making not famous shows, like "Nakia", "Toma", "The Texas Wheelers", "Legmen", and "Tucker's Witch". For example. Plenty more where that came from.

I remember The Rockford Files because I used to like watching it when it was on the air. It was a great show, I don't mean it literally was in the dirt but that they are really scratching around trying to find things to remake instead of new ideas.
