The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Yeah, it's a tradition with these kinds of movies. Lloyd Bridges didn't do comedy before Airplane either (he was offered the lead in Star Trek in fact), but you wouldn't know it by the films he did afterwards.

Yep, that's it. And it feels like it keeps getting shorter. In certain cases, movies ends up on a streaming service before they're finished their theatrical runs, and yes I've seen it happen more than once, and a 45-day window is a good reason to prevent this happening.
Remember when WB had a 0-day window? Wild times. Then at some point I seem to recall they had settled on 45 days which seemed a reasonable compromise. Then they blew that completely out of the water. Dune 2 for example: 81 days. :scream:

Was that during the pandemic? It would have made sense back then given people were told to stay home as much as possible.

At the Amazon Cinemacon presentation on Wednesday, neither the John Krasinski Jack Ryan film nor the Henry Cavill Voltron film were mentioned; these will probably come to Prime Video.

According to wiki, the new jack ryan movie will be released in the united states by amazon mgm studios and internationally by paramount pictures in theaters. but the movie was not mentioned in the 2 panels at cinema con. they are probably making this movie a prime video special in partnership with paramount pictures.

I'm shocked. You forgot Neeson's cameo on The Orville. Season 1, Episode 4. He plays the character Dorahl.
I do recall his role on STAR TREK:ORVILLE in season 1. I always saw that as him I think doing a favor for Seth because they must have become friends while doing the Old West movie. Charlize Theron was also in that season. In fact I I very aware because right now I am in the middle of season 1 of STAR TREK:ORVILLE in my Trek marathon.
