The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

To fling cows? :D

Can just imagine the dialogue... "Get back down here! We're got a problem. I don't know how they're doing it, but someone seems to have created a tornado, and they're targeting cows..."

"Right, sure, I'll just call the meteorologist and ask them if anyone's stolen their weather-making machine..."

And then soon there after to be a Sy Fy TV movie: Cownado

@Owain Taggart I was thinking more along the lines of destroying specific buildings, targeting a particular person, etc. But seriously, where else could the film go?

Oh, well that too! I like your idea. But I think there also have to be cows! :D Or maybe they can be elephants this time. Or a whole zoo.

Throw in Samuel Jackson for good measure.... "Who the f**k is flinging cows in my f**cking town!"

Cownado practically writes itself.

DRIVING IN THE TORNADO; COW FLIES BY

"Cow!"

ANOTHER COW FLIES BY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION

"Another cow!"

A BARN TUMBLES INTO THE ROAD

"A barn full of cows!!!!"

RAM THREW IT; MILK AND BLOOD ALL OVER THE TRUCK

"Anybody got any Oreos?"

When I read the characters and I know the main character from the movies, they will probably create a school environment like this: There will be a boy on the school swim team who likes Elle, Elle's group of friends, Elle's the smartest girl in school who hates Elle, and a spoiled brat whose family is richer than Elle's and who calls Elle and her friends "losers". Or rather, it will be a version of 90s and 2000s teen comedy series and movies with people of all races.

So... Dr. Who is kind of like Kenny McCormick, only they're adult and take different forms each time they come back?

Couple of other thoughts... first of all, to the surprise of very few at this point, the live action Snow White seems to be set to lose Disney another couple hundred million dollars. Proof that for some reason, people don't really want PC re-imaginings of classics with beloved characters replaced by nightmare fuel CGI abominations.

Second, it looks like they're going to be redoing the Narnia books again, presumably as a streaming series. And if rumor is correct, they'll start with "Magician's Nephew" this time, which I don’t think has ever been adapted. With the previous two attempts, the older BBC one made it to "Silver Chair", while the newer big-budget ones bogged down after "Dawn Treader".

Is that what The Narrative says? The CGI thing is the least of that movie's problems.

Not the least; those dwarves were pretty awful (Dopey looks like Alfred E. Neuman). But, the lead actress is an even bigger pain. Rachel Zegler REALLY needed to keep her mouth shut.

The thing with Zegler is this. Who cares if she is a little pretentious and smug! It's another case of separating the artist from the art and I can tell you I have had to look the other way to enjoy stuff made by much worst people than Zegler to enjoy the movie, show, music they are in. Granted I see how it's a problem for Disney. When you are trying to convince people to see your movie it's always best to try and not annoy people who might come see it. Especially in this day and age when many folks are more than fine with just waiting for a movie to come to streaming to watch.
