The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

I’m hoping that it’s just how your translator has worded it but talking about “old nerds” could mean offend people. “Fans”, even “geeks” would be less contentious. It might be that the words look fine to someone whose first language isn’t English, but down there in black and white, it looks a bit insulting.
I understand.

Anyway, I hear they're making a remake of Rurouni Kenshin. I haven't watched much of the original so I can't speak on behalf of whether or not this was unnecessary, but my dad says it's mediocre. We're watching the original first and then maybe we'll see about giving the remake a try.
(Sorry for double post!)
Edit: WTF did I mean by "as per the title"?? I was tired as hell yesterday, probably worth it to disregard anything I said then. Lmao

Even if the second movie is not successful at the box office, it will be on Prime Video at the end of May, and I think it will be watched a lot there and there may be a reason for a third movie on Prime Video, if the directors and actors accept it of course.

I'm in my sixties and don't mind being called an "old nerd" at all. :)
