Does a cinematic version of a video game count as a reboot/remake?
After all, it is an adaptation, and I think adaptations can be considered remakes or reboots. I couldn't find a topic to share this kind of news on the forum, so I put it here.

True, but adaptations aren't necessarily unnecessary in the same way that remakes and reboots are. There's a difference between creating a work based on one of a different medium and redoing something that has already been done in the same medium.

I know but: I couldn't find a title to share news about games, books or comic book adaptations that aren't related to Marvel and DC, so I'm sharing it here.

Neither place is a safe from fires. Indeed, Canada has been having its shares of wildfires in recent years.
True, but it will be a long time before LA recovers from the fires and studios are going to need to resume production, potentially requiring a move.

Are either of these reboots or remakes?

not really but I couldn't find a title to post. But I guess it's a forum about nerddom and I shouldn't post TV series and movies that aren't about nerddom.

This thread, ON the forum, is restricted to unoriginality and useless follow-ups, occasionally falling into lively but unrelated disputes. While it discusses unnecessary redos, perhaps in the future this kind of thread will not be necessary. It came quite close to rupture last week for unrelated reasons.:borg:

Jared Padalecki is working on a medical drama for CBS, so if it ends up getting made, that could mean the proposed second Fire Country spinoff which would star him might not happen..... unless he's a doctor and a firefighter..... who fights crime?

They sure like to announce projects so far in advance that there's a more likely than not chance they don't even get made. Like the 237 Star Wars movies.

Do we really need another medical drama? I am already bored with the show and it doesn't even exist, yet.
