The ROBCOP original was more great than good. The TOTAL RECALL original was more good than great, yet it was as good as good can be. I saw the remakes once each, yet I literally cannot remember a single second of the RECALL redo. That MIGHT be an insult to Bryan Cranston, but his TOTAL RECALL is an insult to TRUMBO. And ROBO's remake, while more good than bad, cannot match the TOTAL bad. Had it done so, I would have forgotten that thing, too. What a waste.....The RoboCop remake wasn’t good but it wasn’t bad either. At least they tried to do something different, unlike the Total Recall remake which claimed they were going to be closer to the source material and then just copied the beats of the Arnold movie.
Inflation. The Rockless MUMMY came out a few years before. I certainly never saw its sequel----ONCE---to see the Rocked-up version. That dude's never given an actual acting performance since BE COOL. i THINK that was the GET SHORTY sequel, but except for Mr. Eyebrow it's even worse than the TOTAL RECALL one.It actually beat the first movie's box office take. $435 million to $416 million. So it was a pretty big deal.
Imagine my relief. Let's have Poland remake SPECIAL BULLETIN as a theatrical movie.Brazil is remaking Panic Room as a TV movie.
I'm quite behind the curve on many of these interchangeable things, but do you imply that we are on the verge of getting a ''realistic'' RoboCop, as in ROBOCOP, the (shudder) reality show?Since it will be shot as a TV series rather than a movie, it will not be very similar to the first movie except for the main plot and characters.
Dana Carvey already has.I was really hoping he was going to do Blue Thunder
I think it will be an R rated work. In my mind, it will be set in a dark future like Blade Runner. It will only take the main plot and characters of the first movie and the Robocop look and make it a completely different work with a little bit of The Boys humor. But I don't know what Amazon will do, only Amazon will do this with a very big budget, or rather I know, or rather I guess.I'm quite behind the curve on many of these interchangeable things, but do you imply that we are on the verge of getting a ''realistic'' RoboCop, as in ROBOCOP, the (shudder) reality show?
I'm really curious about what the budgets of Voltron and He Man will be and what the box office gross will be. I hope both movies are shot for under $100 million and aim for $400-500 million. And I hope they do well at the box office, they'll be good movies. and 'I hope' Amazon will eventually have big movie franchises other than Bond and Rocky/Creed. and Amazon MGM Studios will be listed among the big Hollywood companies.Meanwhile Sterling K. Brown will star in a live action version of Voltron

I think that, after the Flash movie disaster, combined with the success of "Penguin," the powers that be at WB (including Gunn) are slowly easing out Andy Muschietti while simultaneously trying to figure out how to bring in the Reeves/Pattinson batverse. This delay is part of that. The Brave and Bold movie is also not on the schedule anymore (if it ever was).
Supposedly the powers that be want to take another crack at Power Rangers as a movie and maybe an animated series too.
One of the Cobra Kai showrunners says he's working on a spinoff. Didn't say what it was. Doesn't mean it will even happen.
For those who can't deal with Koreans and subtitles?
I guess yes but this is ridiculous, Netflix also dubs in English for Americans who don't want to watch this show with subtitles. So it's unnecessary, and I don't know if it's still the same. But the former CEO of Netflix said that 70% of American users prefer dubbed shows and movies whose native language is not English. That's why most of the people who watched this show have already watched it dubbed in English. Netflix even dubs anime in English just for American viewers. For those who can't deal with Koreans and subtitles?
@#$% them!!!! Moments like this make me ashamed to be American. Great movie productions deserve their native language as long as the subtitles are legible.* If the titles are distracting, but the movie's still great, watch it the first or second time without them. I admit to watching a dubbed BATTLE ROYALE and it was a cute novelty, but it was a one-time thing long after listening to the original fantastic Japanese voices.I guess yes but this is ridiculous, Netflix also dubs in English for Americans who don't want to watch this show with subtitles. The former CEO of Netflix said this around 2016-2017. I read the information they gave regarding the use of English dubbing on Netflix on Wiki.I guess yes but this is ridiculous, Netflix also dubs in English for Americans who don't want to watch this show with subtitles.
