The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

They could get some fun out some of the people working at the newspaper being a big fan of the "The Office" documentary. For example you could have a nerdy guy who is socially awkward but thinks he is going to be the "Jim" of this documentary. Stuff like that. Also if it a news paper I guess we know where they will be buying their paper from.

"The Hunt for Gollum"? Talk about unnecessary... At least it's new material as opposed to a franchise reboot, though, so it might be worth a look.

I am very interested in that animated "The War of the Rohirrim" project they mentioned down-page.

Can someone show me the necessary TV show/film list? I have yet to find it.

Radio Silence, the director duo behind Abigail, Scream VI and Ready or Not, are no longer attached to Escape from New York, which is supposed to be some sequel/reboot hybrid.

The studio tried to remake it with Gerard Butler many years ago. I think Robert Rodriguez was also attached to it at one point.
