Was a great little action flick. Wonder how much better the Die Hard franchise would have been if they called it Die Hard 4.

This caught my eye in the news the other day. Ang Lee's 1993 film The Wedding Banquet is being remade, this time starring Lily Gladstone and Bowen Yang.

Was a great little action flick. Wonder how much better the Die Hard franchise would have been if they called it Die Hard 4.

That or another Willis movie, Hostage, could quite easily have been retooled into DH4 (or 5).

Considering that the first three Die Hard movies (so, the good ones) all started development as something else, it might have been best to keep that formula. Good action movie script that doesn't work out as intended? Retool it for Die Hard.

DH3 is good in comparison to 5. But less so if you factor in 4.

Have any of these actually been successful? I vaguely remember there was a Fantasy Island movie remade as horror. I don't really understand the purpose of these.

These super cheap movies from the Blood and Honey studio will make money just because they cost relatively little, just like the movies of The Asylum, home of The Da Vinci Treasure, The Day the Earth Stopped, Battle Star Wars, Atlantic Rim and Top Gunner.
