The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Considering that the first three Die Hard movies (so, the good ones) all started development as something else, it might have been best to keep that formula. Good action movie script that doesn't work out as intended? Retool it for Die Hard.

I've been working on turning Judy Blume's novel "Fudge-a-Mania" into Die Hard 6.

Have any of these actually been successful? I vaguely remember there was a Fantasy Island movie remade as horror. I don't really understand the purpose of these.

These super cheap movies from the Blood and Honey studio will make money just because they cost relatively little, just like the movies of The Asylum, home of The Da Vinci Treasure, The Day the Earth Stopped, Battle Star Wars, Atlantic Rim and Top Gunner.

Sounds like someone wants to make a "Stranger Things" show under the Scooby Doo brand name. Which actually not be all that bad. But for the love of God make Shaggy a hippie again . Which is like "Stranger Things" they put in a past setting they can do .
