Spock: I understand Doctor. I'm sure the Captain would simply have said "Forget it, Bones."

McCoy begins to collapse as Scotty enters the Bridge.

 

[Enterprise1981]

SCOTT: Mister Spock, look!

(The image of Kirk is there, apparently calling out to them.)

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: Captain? Captain? Captain.

Spock walks to the ghostly Kirk image and reaches out to him, but Kirk vanishes.

 

[Enterprise1981]

[Sickbay]

(McCoy releases the straps on Uhura's bed.)

UHURA: Am I all right, Doctor?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: Yes Uhura, You're fine.

 

[Enterprise1981]

UHURA; Then what I saw...

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: It was real.

 

[Vanyel]

Uhura: Captain Kirk's...alive?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: We all saw him. The Captain's still alive.

 

[Vanyel]

Chapel: Nurse Chapel to Dr. McCoy.

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: McCoy here.

 

[Enterprise1981]

CHAPEL: Results of the last theragen test are ready for you, Doctor.

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: I'll be right there.

 

[Leandar]

(Spock's quarters)

Scotty: Then your fears about that phaser were correct. It blasted a hole right through that crazy space fabric and... only heaven knows where it sent the Defiant.

(Or fans thirty-five years later, it's currently sitting in Tholian space in the 22nd century mirror universe. )

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: Exactly, but the Captain remained. Only the overlap time changed. The next interphase will occur here.

[Admiral Shran]

SCOTT: That will be about twenty minutes. Aye, she'll be back together, but we'll only have about 80% power built up.

 

[Leandar]

Spock: It will have to do, Mr. Scott. (door buzzes) Come.

 

[Admiral Shran]

(McCoy enters.)

SCOTT: What have you got there?

 

[Leandar]
