Later, Uhura is in her quarters, she goes up to a mirror and begins to put on a necklace, but she is hit by sudden pain. mmediately after, she sees a phased image of Captain Kirk in the mirror.

Uhura: Captain! Captain Kirk, we thought you were-

The image of Kirk vanishes. Uhura runs out of the room.

McCoy walks through a corridor.

Uhura: Spock! Mister Spock!

Uhura intercepts McCoy

Uhura; Oh, Doctor. I've just seen the Captain.

 

[Enterprise1981]

MCCOY: Of course you have, Uhura. We would all like to.

 

[LeadHead]

Uhura: He's alive. He's alive, Doctor.

 

[Enterprise1981]

MCCOY: Of course.

 

[LeadHead]

Uhura: Believe me, I did see him. I did. Spock! Mister Spock!

 

[CoveTom]

MCCOY: We're going to Sickbay.

 

[LeadHead]

Uhura: Doctor, Doctor, I'm not going mad. I did see Captain Kirk. I've got to get to Mister Spock...

Uhura faints in McCoy's arms.

[Engineering]

(An engineer succumbs to space-madness and attacks Scotty. Two others haul him off.)

SCOTTY: Scott to Captain.

[Bridge]

SCOTTY (over comm): Scott to Captain.

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: Spock here, proceed Mister Scott.

 

[Enterprise1981]

[Engineering]

SCOTTY: One of our crewmen just went berserk, but we have him under control for the moment.

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: Report to Doctor McCoy all symptoms noted prior to the attack. Spock out.

 

[Enterprise1981]

[Medical lab]

(We can hear Chekov's cries as he struggles against the restraints in Sickbay.)

CHAPEL: Doctor McCoy,

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: Yes, Nurse.

 

[Vanyel]

Chapel: I have a diagnosis of the crewman who attacked Engineer Scott. It was definitlt due to the deteriorating affects of inner space.

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: Yes, it's beginning to spread generally throughout the ship.

 

[Vanyel]

Chapel: Are we any closer Doctor?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: No, except I'm positive that it's a Theragen Derivative that's the answer. And it better be the next one.

 

[Vanyel]

After checking on still screaming Checkov, Bones sees Uhura.

Uhura: Mr. Spock didn't believe me either, did he Doctor?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: Well, nobody saw him but you, Uhura.

 

[Vanyel]

Uhura: Then I didn't really see him. Did I?
