(Chekov has a dizzy spell, and totters out of Engineering.)

KIRK: Kirk to McCoy.

 

[LeadHead]

Back in Sickbay

McCoy: McCoy here.

 

[Enterprise1981]

[Defiant Bridge]

KIRK: Bones, can you tell me what they all died of?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: (over comm) I'd say these people killed each other.

 

[Enterprise1981]

KIRK: They what?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: You heard correctly, Jim. These people killed each other.

 

[Vanyel]

Kirk: Could...mental disease...have infected all of the crew?

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: According to the ships log, the medical surgeon down here didn't know what was going on. The best I can do is get all the readings I can get and analyze them later.

McCoy walks into the corridor outside of sickbay. He sees a dead Defiant crewmember on the ground, he appears to be fuzzy or faded. McCoy tried to touch him, instead his hand passes right through his corpse.

McCoy: What the devil?

 

[Alienesse]

KIRK [OC]: Bones, what is it?

[Defiant Doctor's office]

KIRK: Bones, what is it? Answer me!
McCoy's hand passes through a PADD and a desk.

[Defiant Bridge]

KIRK: Answer me!

 

[LeadHead]

McCoy: Jim this ship is dissolving! My hand just passed through a man and a table!

 

[Alienesse]

KIRK: Get up here on the double.

 

[LeadHead]

Back on the Enterprise, the crew watches as the Defiant begins to fade out of the universe

Sulu: Mister Scott, The Defiant. It's starting to disappear!

 

[Alienesse]

[Transporter room]

SCOTTY [over comm]: Bridge to transporter room.

 

[Admiral Shran]

O'NEIL: Transporter Room. O'Neil here.

 

[Alienesse]

SCOTTY [over comm]: You got that transporter working yet, Mister?

 

[Brian]

O'NEIL: No, sir. Not yet.

 

[Alienesse]

[Bridge]

SCOTTY: Take over, Mister Sulu. I'll be in the transporter room.

 

[Leandar]

Sulu: Aye, sir.

 

[Alienesse]

[Defiant Bridge]

SPOCK: Captain, the Defiant's sensors correspond with an extremely high degree of correlation to those of the Enterprise.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: You mean what happened to the Defiant could be happening to the Enterprise?
