(Transporter room - The landing party are wearing silvery space suits)


O'Neil: Locked in on the Defiant Bridge, sir.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Energize.

 

[Leandar]

(Defiant Bridge - The crew are dead. One man is in the act of strangling another, a sight that shocks the boarding party)


Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's five year mission: To explore strange, new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone before.


Chekov: Has there ever been a mutiny on a starship before?

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: Absolutely no record of such an occurrence Ensign.

Of course we're not counting "Hatchery" because Captain Archer was under some odd alien influence, so that's why the crew had to rise up against him. And of course, that episode wouldn't be filmed for over 30 years.

 

[Leandar]

McCoy: Jim, the captain's neck is broken.

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: The ship is still functioning, Captain. It is logical to assume the mutineers are somewhere aboard.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Use the ship's sensors to locate them. Kirk to Enterprise.

 

[LeadHead]

Scotty: (over comm) Scott here.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Prepare to beam a full security squad over on my order.

 

[LeadHead]

Scotty: (over comm) Aye, Aye Captain.

 

[Leandar]

Spock: Captain, there is no sign of life aboard this vessel.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Odd, Mister Spock. Very odd. Spock, you stay here with me. Chekov, get down to Engineering and Life Support Systems. Doctor McCoy, check out the sickbay. Kirk to Enterprise. Cancel the security squad and stand by for further instructions.

 

[Enterprise1981]

[Bridge]

SCOTTY: Aye, aye, Captain. Standing by.

 

[LeadHead]

Sulu: I can't get an accurate fix on the Defiant, Mister Scott, but I know it's drifting away from us. Shall I correct for range Sir?

Scotty studies the Image of the Defiant on the viewscreen for a moment.

 

[Enterprise1981]

SCOTTY: Aye, I think you're right. Keep us within beaming range, but not too close.

 

[LeadHead]

Back on the Defiant, Chekov is in Engineering and has found more bodies, McCoy is in Sickby and has found many dead patients, strapped to their beds.

Chekov activates his EV Suit Communicator

Chekov: Keptin.

KIRK (over comm): Report, Mister Chekov.

Chekov: Just like what I found in Life Support. All dead.
