The Tardis Exterior of the Interior Realization Thread

On a related note - I have always imagined that the with the chameleon circuit shut off (if one were to be so inclined to do that) that the TARDIS's exterior appearance/projection into our universe would hell of a lot look a lot like the undisguised version of the time ship in th opening of the movie "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" - just a solid metallic geometric shape...

In fact, that's how I imagine it in my head.

(Sorry I can't find any pics or youtube vid - anyone have any links to any...? Anyone...? Google was no help unfortunately...)

Funny how *both* timeships are phone boxes - of a sort - too (only Bill & Ted's ship isn't bigger on the inside...though they do cram a lot of folks into it, lol!!!)

I need to check that out..

Here is an up to date version of the Tardis from the side view..
with some minor changes.. I figure that the pillars of Destiny will float and attach to the Tardis tessellated Membranes on its own as the tardis either grows or Shrinks in size..
In addition to that, the Time Scepter will draw in the Tachyon, Graviton, and Chroniton particles necessary for the ship to Convert into Artron energy..

Well we saw what they look like in "The War Games" without the chameleon circuit

I saw that series, and you are right! that was a brilliant episode.. with the time ships all in a landing bay on gallifrey, that was cool.. thanks for mentioning that episode.. I think that the default of the Tardis is the boxy door opening thing..

though there was a story in the old marvel comics that did the exact same thing to a tardis, only one whole side opened up.. I suppose that both are default designs.. it was the story in the back of issue no. 4 it was set on Gallifrey and involved a t-rex alien trying to steal a tardis..

but that as far as that war games episode, it was cool..(considering the time it was produced in)

Sequel to The Mark of the Rani?

As for The War Games, you're right, it's very good.

That's right the rani had t-rex babies growing in the tubes! hahahaha!

I loved those marvel comics issues of doctor who... too bad they only went up to 26 issues..

I did a simplified version of the Tardis side view, and I will upload the top side view as well as other views of the other tardis designs I am working on, including a revised war tardis..

Alo this design is different from the other version, in that I replaced the observation towers with the ones from the previous designs.. it just looks more like it fits an old 40 type model..especially the aesthetics of this ship.. it hearkens back to the old 1930's RETRO space ship type ideal.. something the newer series of doctor who has embraced..

Okay, so maybe I was a bit hasty in saying I had the final design of the Tardis before.... but I figure I have the final final version now.. and it looks much better..

At least I think so.. ;)

the tardis once the main section is grown, the pillars and the control ring are added as well as the time sceptre, and then the ship is made to grow and expand.. as you see in the larger model..

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get something right.. sorry for the continual concept changes, but this is absolutely the final one.. and I shall be doing a few updated tool sheets and top, side and bottom views as well..
