The Sulaco (Aliens)

I think in the upcoming Colonial Marines game, the first part of the game involves boarding the abandoned Sulaco, so that's probably the best we're going to get in terms of a canon answer.

Hmm. My interest in this game just went up a notch.

there is no Alien 3. there is only Aliens.

Do you get emails from Lacuna too?
Listen, saturn5, maybe let's not talk about Lacuna and Alien 3 all that much, alright? Let's talk about something else instead. There's probably some kind of misunderstanding. We've been informed to tel- I mean, if I were you, I would just leave these things alone.

I dunno I keep getting this weird urge to go to Montauk?

I would think it would make more sense for a couple of face huggers came along since she would not have to carry them as they could grab onto her.

Since the egg was a special Superfacehugger to make a new Queen, the Queen probably just laid the emergency "Make a New Queen" egg on the trip back to the Sulaco when she was in the dropship.

But her egg sack was destroyed by Ripley on the planet.

She doesn't need the sac to make eggs, that happens within her body. The sac is for accelerating the process so she can make a LOT of eggs; it makes no sense that something so important would be OUTSIDE her armored body (of course it also made no sense that Ripley would waste her ammo on the sac and not just shoot the Queen in the head...), and if it was so important that the Queen wouldn't have been able to rip off the sac so easily.

In response to the egg on the Sulaco, I felt it was a missed opportunity for the film to say Bishop secretly retrieved the egg at the end of Aliens while Ripley was rescuing Newt.

He didn't have time to put the egg in cryo before getting ripped in two, therefore being indirectly responsible for the death of Hicks & Newt, and confesses everything to Ripley when she briefly re-activates him.

Could have been a tidy explanation.
