Great! Hide and Q really deserved it. It was also the first TNG episode that I've voted for in the rematch, despite being first and foremost a TNG fan.

Well, remember that the new scoring system only reflects Rounds 0-9 and 59-74 so far. But I think the difference will be seen too when all the rematches are done. ENT has done well recently, meaning as far as the Clashes go, it has probably been more popular than TNG.

    Who would've thought?

Two new winners this time, an interestingly enough, two unlikely ones - at least that's what I thought: DataLore takes the crown from Dear Doctor, and Shadows of P'Jem bests 11001001. Full Results of Rematch #5:

    1. The Big Goodbye (18 votes)
    2. Silent Enemy (12)
    3. Miri (6)
    3. Vortex (6)
    5. Heroes and Demons (5)

    1. DataLore (18)
    2. Dear Doctor (12)
    3. The Conscience of the King (6)
    3. Battle Lines (6)
    5. Cathexis (5)

    1. The Galileo Seven (29)
    2. Faces (9)
    3. Sleeping Dogs (6)
    4. The Storyteller (3)
    5. Angel One (1)

    1. Shadows of P'Jem (13)
    2. 11001001 (11)
    3. Jetrel (9)
    4. Progress (8)
    5. Court-Martial (7)

TNG takes a win from ENT, and ENT takes one back, so no changes in the (old style) championship ranking this week.

    Where is everybody?

A weird round of rematches indeed. Only 30 people participated - is everybody on holiday? The tiebreaker ended in a tie, and so did Round 28.

So for now, I'll enter both Errand of Mercy and Necessary Evil into the winners list. I think we should do another tiebreaker later, but not now. The other winners were the old ones: The City on the Edge of Forever won Round 27...

    1. The City on the Edge of Forever (22)
    2. Elementary Dear Data (3)
    2. Minefield (3)
    4. Second Sight (1)
    4. Prototype (1)

    ...and Round 29:

    1. Rivals (11)
    2. Loud As A Whisper (10)
    3. A Night In Sickbay (5)
    4. Catspaw (3)
    5. Threshold (1)

Round 28 ended in a tie:

    1. Operation Annhilate/Dead Stop (9)
    3. Sanctuary (6)
    4. Alliances (3)
    5. The Outrageous Okona (2)

Yes, if slowly. TOS would be #1 right now, but the more recent rounds (where TOS is in its third season) lower its average a lot. Still, it should get a lot closer soon.

what's even more worrying is that ENT is in 3rd place ahead of TNG

The Episode Clash! takes a break until mid to late October, when new ENT episodes begin to air. Starting then, we'll have one brand new Clash each week, along with two or three of the remaining Rematches.

So, make sure to be back when classics Amok Time and The Measure of a Man fight it out once again, and it's Requiem for Methuselah vs. Brothers vs. Indiscretion vs. Year of Hell, Part II vs. Storm Front, Part I

Until then, have a great rest of the summer. Thanks again for the mighty participation last season!

    New season coming soon...

Just to bring you up to speed on past results, a little bump for the thread. Since ENT has returned with new shows, The Episode Clash will return soon as well.

It's funny, DS9 is the only series that has not lost a single point due to the rematches... I wonder if these forums aren't a wee bit biased. :p
