^^^True, but truth be told, all DS9 winning episodes but to this point in the rematches were very very strong, and any of them losing their titles would've been a travesty, really.

How about after this point? Would it be a Travesty for "The House of Quark" to lose it's title?

That would depend what it was up against.

You're both right. House of Quark was a dull dull episode. And besides, all of them competitors are WAY better IMO: The Immunity Syndrome, Evolution, Sacred Ground (which is very underrated), and Regeneration. So no, HoQ losing its title would most certainly NOT be a travesty.

    Justice Is Served

Let me just allow the subjective indulgence in the title for this week's report: YES! Finally the Clashers have come to their senses and have retroactively named two great shows the Clash winners in the Rematches: The Changeling (over The Catwalk) and Blood Oath (over Time Squared). Justice is served indeed.

Injustice however - to just continue this completely partial propaganda here - was served in the current round when the late TOS classic All Our Yesterdays lost out to Little Green Men. But that's just me talking... :) Here are the complete results:

    Round 77

    1. Little Green Men (29)
    2. Remember Me (19)
    3. Home (7)
    4. All Our Yesterdays (5)
    5. Concerning Flight (--)

    Rematch 36

    1. The Changeling (25)
    2. The Catwalk (14)
    3. Profit and Loss (11)
    4. The Royale (10)
    5. Innocence (--)

    Rematch 37

    1. Blood Oath (25)
    2. Time Squared (14)
    3. The Thaw (10)
    4. The Apple (5)
    4. Dawn (5)

    Round 78 starts soon.

Rightly so, IMO. They're both pretty bad episodes. I was surprised that The Thaw didn't do better than 10 votes, but then that still remains a pretty underrated episode.

Well, sometimes it depends on what the competition is, but in this case, I doubt it'd matter too much what episodes they were up against. I don't think "Innocence" is that bad, but "Concerning Flight" was truly abysmal.

    My question is:

Why is the rematches killing Enterprise? I think most of the episodes where Ent orginally won was well deserved...

With any justice, Enterprise whould be on at least third place (above TNG) in won matches.

^^^The majority decides. I personally think Voyager had much more than 7 episodes (out of 79 so far) that deserved to win their respective rounds. But then again, the majority decides. In the case of Enterprise, I think its number is about right when you look at the competing episodes. Don't forget that there's always competition. Home, for example, was excellent IMO, but Little Green Men and All Our Yesterdays were stronger still in my book...

Allow me to share my feelings breifly:
Time squared was way better than blood oath, time squared was time-travel before time-travel felt overused. It was very fun.

But blood oath was just silly. Let's give dax an excuse to like a klingon because she kind-of used to sort of be like one. That sort of thing turned me off from a few DS9 episodes.

But the main thing that bothered me about that episode is that the episode wanted us to like the Klingons and Dax despite the fact they basically were out to knife a lot of people to death. But because the klingons were acting all playful and tapping "bad-guys" on the shoulder, and being like "Surpise! I'm here to knife you to death!" We were still supposed to be cheering for them.

Plus the whole thing resolved itself too neatly, and too after-school specially,

"So you see kids, if you plan to revist a past life in which you hung out with a violent, often murderous crowd, Remember: you might feel guilty after they kill about 20 people."

All of this is IMO, of course.

But personally, I really really really think time-squared deserved to win it. And I am very worried that GTD is turning into DS9Forum-2. But I'm sure that isn't the case. ;)

Well, I think it may be that the first time round, the Ent eps were new and Ent fans rushed to support the Ent eps (no matter the quality).

Now the eps share the distance of time with the other series' to an extent, and the Ent fans perhaps are a bit more objective in comparing Ent eps to the competing eps and aren't blindly giving Ent the automatic nod?

Humbug. I found "Concerning Flight" an excellent episode...just not as good as the best competing episode in the round.
