Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers (yep, the whole band) used to stay with my grandparents when they were just starting out, traveling through town. They'd play on their porch late at night, they'd talk a bit, drink some coffee (my grandma believed in strong coffee, ie.,"tar"), until dawn and then they'd head on out for Nashville. My mother and her brother and sister used to sing with Larry Sparks once in a while at a local venue when he'd be in town. Man, I love Bluegrass!
