It just wasn't italicized...that's all. The typeface was still technically the same as the classic TOS logo.

Didn't like it during the first half but once the transition occurred, it was surprising good.

It's a kickass trailer, that's for sure and no doubt about that, but I never really felt any surge of emotion while watching it.

For me that came with the teaser trailer, especially Nimoy's stirring "Space.. the final frontier.." and the preceding speech by Kennedy which can be heard in the background (something I always found emotionally charged and timelessly inspiring).

I'm in the goosebump, misty-eyed crowd, too, despite my initial ambivalence. It happened, of all things, when the E was flying through the debris field after Kirk's little salute. The thought appeared in my heart (not my head): "They're getting it right. Oh my goodness, they're getting it right..."

I have only read thru page 3 of this thread so far... and maybe this has already been mentioned... but when I hear the music for this new trailer, it reminds me of the soundtrack theme for The Dark Knight. Anyone else?

Thanks! I figured it had already been mentioned... numerous times... even my sister, who is not a fan of Trek, but loved the trailer mentioned the whole Dark Knight sound.
