I'm sure everyone will be glad to know that Book 1 of Destiny has reached these shores. I got it yesterday and according to the price tag, it was tagged last Friday. Surprisingly there was another new book on the shelf beside it, Star Trek: The Rings of Tautee by DWS and KKR! I've no idea how the shop got that. Was Pocket having a clearout?!

That's mighty late, CSalem. I got the 3rd Destiny novel in the mail a few days ago and finished reading ut last night. I ordered online over amazon.de, and they were only a week or so behind the early American release.

I came very close to ordering if off Amazon but I decided I would do my 'patriotic duty' and buy it off a local shop. Plus I get points on a loyalty card and now have enough to get a free book.

No it is still there. I very nearly did just for the craziness of the situation but my brain kicked in. That is probably because I was on my way to college and it was putting itself into gear. If it had been a free day who knows what might have happened...

Well I know that Target puts out the books they get the night we have a truck. Yes I'm a team member on the overnight crew, so thats how I know. Put no Star Trek books sold there through. I just think everyone should have the same policy or whatever you wanna call it, just to get something out and make the customer happy.

Not every store has access to their loading docks at night.

Not every store can afford to dedicate staff to unpacking duties if there are customers to be served.

Impatient customers are very hard to keep happy. They always want it yesterday, but at a discount.

Same here, although I haven't even started with the trilogy yet since I'm fighting with Kobayashi Maru for weeks now. Damn this self inflicted "finish every book you start reading" rule.

I'm waiting patiently for November 25th when i'll supposedly be able to obtain the ebook of Lost Souls from SimonSays.com

Can carry it around on my thumbdrive, read it on my laptop, desktop, mobilephone. Been reading ebook versions for a few years now, since it's rather difficult to get hold of Star Trek books here in Singapore.

Since I am still reading Mere Mortals, I still have time to see if the eBook comes out soon. I too am waiting for the eBook for Lost Souls. No idea how long we'll have to wait.
