This came totally out of left field to me... I haven't seen any spoilers so far, so it was quite the reveal. I am actually really loving this show. It's quite horrifying in good ways.

I figured with the quick reference to the original story while Fr. Tomas was doing research, that was the only nod we'd see. But now I'm really engaged.. I wonder if they approached Linda Blair about playing the role of her mom instead. Ah well... I'm hooked.. I hope it gets picked up.

I'm enjoying this show. I wasn't expecting to. Wasn't even planning on watching it, only saw the first episode due to being at someone elses house

I have to say this show is awesome which really took me by surprise. The acting is phenomenal, the cast and characters are really good. The actors for the two exorcists are knocking it out of the park especially.

Chris MacNeil was killed by Regan on Friday about 9:57 pm EST. Her head was turned completely around. And Regan is now re-possessed.

I was hoping it was going to be drawn out longer across several episodes before this shocker happened. This series being a direct sequel to the 1973 film keeps the viewer interested!

If they pretend EXORCIST 2: TAPDANCE never occurred, then they theoretically could bring in Sharon. Karl and Lieutenant Kinderman probably have died from natural causes anyway. Then there's Father Dyer...

Ah yes.. Poor Father Dyer... Exsanguinated. Not a nice way to go.

I think we'd all like to prefer that Exorcist 2 hadn't occurred. There aren't many of the characters from the original that would be around. Even if they are playing fast and loose with the characters ages and the timeline from the original movie, it would tough. I mean, Chris, if you go by Ellen Burstyn's age, would be in her mid-80s, even though the actress who plays/played her now is in her mid 70s. You could make the case that Regan had kids later in life, which is not as uncommon as it once was... Such a shame that Jason Miller passed away so young. There could be a way to bring back Damian through a vision or something like they did with Exorcist III...
