The Return of Ernst Stavro Blofeld?

I've never been a Bond fan really, but I do think it's time one of the iconic villains came back. Let's face it: the last five or six haven't been particularily memorable or competent.

I thought Mr. White was pretty competent, and since his death scene was removed from Quantum of Solace, he's still fair game for sequels.

Especially since he was smart enough to remove the ear wig and not leave his seat.

I mean how stupid were the rest of QUANTUM's men?

^Yeah, that part really bugged me. How could they not realize that by getting up they were all giving away exactly who they were?

Well since someone was listening in on their secure network maybe they figured whoever it was already knew who they were, so bugging out made the most sense?

Which one of Martin Sheen's relatives is Michael?

No relation. Sheen is just a stage name for both Martin and Charlie, who other than Martin's other son, Emilio, are the most famous members of the Estevez family of actors, which also includes Martin's daughter Renee and his brother Joe.

British actor Michael Sheen is set to sign up to the next James Bond movie - to play legendary villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, according to U.K. reports.

Oh God!! Why?? This is stupid!

I suppose that's possible, but still it was a very bad move from a tactical standpoint. Plus, leaving with a large crowd is generally safer than leaving with a small one.

I don't see anything wrong with this. Sheen is an accomplished actor. He certainly can't do any worse than Matthew Amalric as QoS's kinda-main villain.

My only trouble with Sheen is that he's most famous for roles that involve playing a famous person (Blair, Frost, Clough) he's a chameleon and I'd really like to see a more forceful presense as the next Bond villain. I actually prefered Dominic Green to Le chiffre, but the last good Bond villain was Toby Stephens as Gustav Graves (say what you like about DAD he was good in it)

I don't know. If Sheen can play a vengeance-crazed werewolf (the UNDERWORLD movies) and an ageless vampire (the new TWILIGHT movie), he should be able to manage a Bond villain.

He doesn't only play real people. Some of us know him best for his roles with fangs. :)

I'll admit I know him best from the film: The Queen.

Yeah I suppose I am ignoring the other side of his career :) I have only seen the first Underworld film and, to be honest, have barely any recollection of him in it.

When it comes to the Daily Express, there is a proven track record of simply making shit up when it comes to Entertainment news. I would take this report with a hollowed out volcano full of salt.

Remember when The Daily Star reported Holly Valence had been cast to replace Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy?

I like the way Mr. White twigged to what was going on and stayed in his seat. :p

However how could several people standing up and walking away incriminate them in the short term? They're highly placed billionaires who are going to be hard to nail with just a few photos and they were taken under bad circumstances, with a shoot out in a restaurant, and a few bodies left lying around.
