The replicators

The nice self-destructive rockstar in "The Neutral Zone" said it was the best martini he had ever have. However, we can argue that beverages used to make martini were already produced industrially when this guy has been frozen. Maybe I'm wrong and Replicator is better than humans for producing beverages, including the craft ones, and when Captain's sister-in-law realized it was meaningless to produce Château Picard, she made a plan to collect the insurance....

"Assimilate this": :barf:

Fascinating, you can replicate plomeek soup with your mouth!

The thing I take isn't that replicated food "tastes bad" it's that every instance of that meal tastes *exactly the same.* There's no variety or flair. Anyone who cooks knows no to times cooking the same meal will taste exactly alike. Replicated food does. It's also probably based on easy or simple recipes with no real spark. It's just food at basic level.

The 24th-Century equivalent of fast food.
