"The Raven" episode thought

I watched it again last night... I still can't work it out even after the explanation :p I think my brain is seeing it upside-down, inside-out, back-to-front and in reverse :scream: It just won't lay it out in a way I can understand - kinda like when you take a sip of water and you expected lemonade, but you can't make out what's wrong. Major meltdown moment.

Dramatic mess IS RIGHT!

The Borg show up in so many pre-TNG time period situations, it's a wonder Picard and everybody seemed so mystified by them. And Guinan was so reticent about them, saying nothing 'til asked. The Borg: unmentionables of the galaxy.

- Captain Janeway tells Paris to 'alter course'
- UNSEEN: Voyager docks with the Sphere which is still under the control of Admiral Janeway
- The Sphere emerges from the rift under fire from Starfleet ships
- Janeway orders Tuvok to fire.
- UNSEEN: Voyager fires a torpedo.
- The torpedo streaks towards the camera and impacts the inner side of the hull...
- ...and starts destroying the sphere from the inside out.
- UNSEEN: Voyager moves to just below the surface of the sphere, and fires one last torpedo.
- The Sphere explodes, and Voyager emerges safely into the waiting arms of the fleet.

Not sure if I can get it any clearer than that!

^ About that, I know it's slightly off topic, but can somebody explain that shot to me?
The bit where you see the torpedo getting bigger... is that inside or outside the Sphere? Where's the camera supposed to be - whose POV is it? Then stuff explodes and Voyager flies out heroically.

I don't understand any of that scene, only that everything works out in the end. EF2 didn't help at all in clearing it up :p It just repeated it verbatim :scream:

Yeah I remember watching the last episode and rewinding that bit and thinking 'huh... what the hell just happened?'...

Thanks for that! Now it makes somewhat more sense! I used to just think 'ah well, they got, home thats all that matters even if I cant figure out how'... LOL

Watch "Dark Frontier" in the Voyager DVD collection it is not listed as a two part episode, however, it is a two part episode. It's just not listed as
parts 1 and 2. It just takes up two of the possible 4 episodes on disk 4 of the 5th season. Watching them will answer all your questions, enjoy watching them, they are relly good episodes...

Resistance is Futile

Another confusing throw off is that Voyager is trying to escape the cube so Janeway asks which is the fastest way out and it's a portal that leads back to the Delta Quadrant and she orders them to take that route. So we are to assume at the last minute that they don't get home.

No mention of how they end up inside the cube. Maybe the cube caught up behind them and tractored them in before they could take that Delta Quadrant route or something.

Yes, correct. They were drawn inside the borg sphere and taken to the alpha quadrant. Then they blow up the sphere from the inside, giving the fleet of ships waiting to blow it up quite a surprise!

I watched that episode (wait, that's two episodes.) last night.
