The Q Continuum trilogy

Thanks. Could be a mistake. If you take a zero out the date goes to February 23rd 2373 which sounds like it could be right.
Yeah, the stardate was almost definitely a mistake. Maybe @Greg Cox can give us some insight in the behind the scenes process of choosing the stardate for the trilogy (my money is on the second zero being a typo :D)

Just finished it. Really enjoyable story. It was fun to see how all those powerful deities that were in TOS came to be, especially the one who was so fascinated in starships. Makes we wish that they used this as the plot for one of the TNG movies. I always found it odd that Q never appeared in a movie; with the higher budget allowing them to be more adventurous with Q's exploits. This story would have easily taken that into account while answering some unanswered questions. I've also got the perfect guy to play 0. Kristofer Hivju from Game of Thrones. He could even wear his clothes from that show,
With the ending revealing that 0 is some sort of spider creature, it made me think of Pennywise and other similar creatures from the Dark Tower universe. Is is possible that he came from that universe?
I did notice some continuity errors other than the stardate. They seem to know the whereabouts of Voyager even know this is set before Message in a Bottle. They mention that the Romulans have entered the war with the Dominion which happens in 2374, so my working on what the stardate is must be wrong. If that is so then the Voyager thing would be correct as well.

EDIT: upon checking the dates of Q and the Grey, it says that the episode occurred on the 24th of May 2373 and so my workings must be wrong. Apologies.
Maybe it is set in the 29th century. :)

I remember dimly all the entities involved. Wasn't Q Junior involved, too? There is really no time for me to re-read this trilogy, but it was certainly a good story.

After what happened to Q Junior in the Voyager novels there is certainly the need for a follow-up story involing the Q-Continuum.

Anyone else reading this trilogy since it was on sale? I'm on book 2 and have been enjoying it so far. I haven't read any TOS books so this is my first Greg Cox book.

I read them years ago: thought they were great. I loved the flashbacks with all the nods to ancient Star Trek history.

"The Q Continuum" Signature Edition (Oct 2003) reprints the "Q-Zone", "Q-Space" and "Q-Strike" books and includes an interview with the author by Kevin Dilmore. Greg Cox actually took the chance to make several stardate error corrections from the MMPBs, and changed a few mentions of "the original Enterprise" to "Kirk's Enterprise", to avoid confusion with Archer's ship (since "Star Trek: Enterprise" was the then-current series on the air).

You couldn’t mention that 3 years ago when I was getting confused with the stardates? :)
