-= The Project =-

Mostly small detail work, some of which does not really show up at this rez and in the lighting I have. I was testing out the surfacing and found I need to make it more subtle.

Well it is mid nov and as promised wedge trek is back.

Changes all around, adjusted both hulls messed with the butt some and changed out the bridge for something more traditional. Again I kept much of the old stuff just in case I change my mind. I think so far these changes are for the better in less clutter and more inline with a TOS era ship. Or rather a slightly updated TOS styling.

^^ :techman:
You know, if you went with two shuttle bays and a central impulse, it would read as a two-hull precursor to the Reliant types. :rommie:

something a bit different??

Really fought the urge for cat legs as I liked the idea of a really narrow hip and short leg like on a real tiger but niven really stresses the human arrangement of the leg. It came out a bit to human with cat head for me but eh, wanted to do something other than more touhou.

Collapsed and optimized the delta and detailed out some aft bits. And a whole bunch of AO puke. I will have to adjust that out or add loops in the curves to control it some.

Keep up the great work! On the off chance you didn't know, your Connie redesign is features in a Trekyards youtube episode today. Congrats!

Mess of small changes mostly little details on gaps etc. Not so sure about those venting valves along the neck. I had planned to put some heatsink like detail here but tried the disc valve things first. Also changed out some existing details for other things like the ribbing next to the impulse and how the grates and internal parts in the area below the impulse exhaust/drives. Also got around to adjusting the AO stuff and bloated render times and reduced the amount of it so I might just eliminate that shader.

Early work at planning plating/deflector array. I probably need to replace that lower finger (waveguide?) to match the ones on the left and right before I get much further on the lower hull. Debating how I want to do the wedge itself.

These panels will be subdivided into smaller sets sort of like how I had done on my destroyer mesh. (tiny ship)

wondering if I should not create a separate thread for each ship? As I know some prefer tos to tng or tmp etc. Especially since much of what I am posting here is not related to "the project"
