How do you rate The Power of the Doctor?

They would have either had the doctor hide behind the Tardis console more or give Mandip a bigger role.
"At the rate it takes Chibnall to produce a season, the kid would be starting school by the time they started filming, am I right?"

(I know I'm not)
what would happen if a pregnant Timelord regenerated? Presumably the foetus would be reabsorbed back into the body as part of the regeneration?
That would be my guess, yes. After all, regeneration happens because of the death of a Time Lord's body. I assume that would spell doom for any unborn children developing within that body.

I've actually had this conversation quite a bit in the real world, mostly with someone I know who is, shall we say not a fan of the idea that gender now changes with regeneration. His go-to argument on the matter is, "what if a pregnant woman regenerated into a man, what happens to the fetus?" To which my response is "even if she regenerated into another woman, she'd still lose the fetus regardless."

The argument than somehow turns into mud slinging as we argue our own beliefs about abortion. Trust me, it's not a fun time.

Chibnall season 14 plot if he didn't leave

>_>

Or the 13th doctor chooses to die and "reincarnates" as their baby

"Twelve more regenerations! ooh and a bit of a diaper rash....."

I'm not even sure how abortion would apply. A miscarriage is a more accurate comparison.

Taking all manner of stuff like Looms out of the equation and presuming for a moment that Timelords reproduce like humans...what would happen if a pregnant Timelord regenerated? Presumably the foetus would be reabsorbed back into the body as part of the regeneration? Sorry icky thought for a Monday morning!

The looms were specific to Time Lords, a sect of Gallifreyans but not all of them. It makes sense that they would do something above and beyond generic procreation, since only Time Lords can regenerate (not general Gallifreyans), and also leading of jokes about having x number of parents. At least to those who read and remembered the New Adventure that took an opportunity to demystify the species in a way other than bog-standard generic, since - eventually - writers will go explore the mystery being's planet and civilization when all other ideas are used. Thankfully that started in the 1970s for Doctor Who...
