I laugh that the red shirt is not masked; he'll probably be killed by something else long before the virus gets him, so, no need for protection.![]()

Yes, it is.Ugh horror movie fodder that is
You would think with his father being an Ambassador, Spock's family could afford the proper helmet instead of the cheap knock-off.
But it's the real McCoy! Here's the box cover:
See?![]()
The truth is often stranger than fiction:That cannot have been a real registered product with the Star Trek name on it........
SourceAfter all, the Enco Company must have drawn inspiration from the 1969 Remco Star Trek Astro-Helmet when they released their Official Star Trek Helmet in 1976. Enco took the ridiculous concept to all new heights of absurdity, however, by adding a movable visor, pull-out antennae and a large red “flashing light emitter with pulsing sonic sound.” Perhaps the coolest feature of all, though, was the inclusion of a large sticker sheet, allowing the owner to customize the helmet with their favorite Star Trek character’s name! Without a doubt, the sheer insanity of this toy makes it one of my favorite pieces of Star Trek memorabilia ever made. How can you not love something carrying the tagline “Space Fun Helmet” on its box?

Yup!
Obviously I replaced the countenance of the grinning child with a similar image of grinning Spock, but otherwise...
Much thanks!![]()
The SPORX helmet is still a cheap knock-off.![]()
Comparing it to the "Kirk" right next to it, I was pretty sure it was "SPORX".It actually read "SPORK" but the warp effect softened the edges too much![]()
