The Pacific Trailer

I want this NOW. I'm going to be stationed in Japan next month and probably be still there come 2010, so I'll be interested to see how it's received there.

What they need to do is make a corresponding Japanese version of The Pacific which will be infinitely superior to the American version. ;)

Damn...

Hanks has to be either the smartest guy in hollywood or he sold his soul to the devil. I mean really, does anything he touch not turn out golden?

Could be:rommie: Hanks is involved also in making a mini-series about the JFK assassination for HBO.
About The Pacific trailer...it looks good visually and the actors seem fine. Wont say more until is see the show itself, though:)...

FYI due to this being filmed in Oz and it featuring a lot of Aussie actors AND the fact that the subject matter is important to those Down Under; it'll air there this fall. The US has to wait until 2010.

Australia? The US? None of this matters in the realm of the internet :p

If that's true, I wonder if it'll air in Japan early, too...

It's always seemed stupid to me that the big 4 English speaking countries don't get TV shows and movies at the same time. I can understand why it didn't necessarily happen before this decade, but with how common place high speed Internet connections are and the ease of downloading TV shows and movies it seems like the best thing to do is air content within days of each other in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.

Yeah, the suits just don't get it. If they had aired the show at the same time then I'd just catch it on TV. Since they insist on making me wait I'll just watch through other means. Their loss

Band of Brothers is probably the coolest thing I've laid eyes on ever. I've been hotly anticipating this one for awhile now. 2010 isn't soon enough!

So who did they cast for the incompetent leader this time -- Matthew Perry or Matt LeBlanc? :)

It's nice to see James Badge Dale doing something of note after 24, besides having to out-overact David Caruso on CSI: Miami or playing Denis Leary's brother that suddenly ceased to ever exist on Rescue Me.

Damn, HBO pulled the trailer again. They're keeping a tight lid on this thing!

And I'm also glad to see James Badge Dale in something other than 24. The only other thing of note I can recall is his appearance in The Departed, but I'm not the biggest fan of that movie. And his disappearing act on Rescue Me was just absurd. Between him and Tommy's deaf sister who only appears in one episode of season three, the Gavin family has no continuity!

James Badge Dale has a new series on AMC starting next year: article. A long way from Sunglasses Dude.

Here's the trailer, nice and clear.

I also recognized Jon Seda from Homicide and other shows. He's a really good actor. I'm excited for all the amphib war action. 2010 sucks but that gives me time to rewatch BoB.
