THE ORVILLE Season Three...

Maybe Season 3 will be the last so MacFarlane can concentrate on buying Trek from CBS :)

But if he buys Trek from CBS then he can then canonize Orville as official Trek with a season 4 where a Captain Riker and Deanna Troi and Picard cross over into a alternate universe and it's the Orville one. They have come to warn them that the Borg are going to invade their universe and thus Mercer and and his people have to make peace with the Kaylons in order to fight these Borg.

Kaylon vs Borg I'd love to see!!!!!

This is what is going to happen.

The Orville will collapse.

The entire cast will be taken to the new stable of programming that Seth is inventing, and none of it will be about space ships.

It can't happen. 2020 is already bad enough. They got give us our Orville.

I'd think 2021, at least. They were only half through shooting for the year when the shutdown came.

There's a no-name clickbait site reporting that the show's been cancelled after season three and its soundstages given over to the upcoming 32,023rd version of HGTTG. That's certainly not impossible, though there's a lot wrong with how those dots supposedly connect. The producers deny it, so I'm waiting for a major outlet to confirm and report - on the very rare occasion that one of these wannabes gets a legit scoop, even a little one, the likes of Deadline reliably swoop in within hours if not minutes. So far, crickets.

Is he actually worth that much? I know he's had some popular shows and movies, but Star Trek has been a money maker for CBS/Viacom for over 50 years, and it's now picking back up in popularity, so I really can't see them passing it off to someone without a massive amount of money. Maybe not Star Wars levels, but probably pretty close.

I'd like to see him go to CBS/Star Trek afer The Orville. Frakes directs both franchises now so it's not like this blacklisted thing at CBS, right?

MacFarlane has been at Fox for a couple of decades now, but he was developing an unmade Flinstones reboot not too long ago, which is a WB property. Not even poached by Disney, a rarity these days in Hollywood!

Anyway I have The Orville 2 on my DVD shelf but i still haven't got round to it yet. Is it still good? I loved the first run as a pseudo-Star Trek show

Season 1 was good, but Season 2? To call it great would be an understatement! You even see two 'Trek doctors!

Well even if nobody saw my post it's really nice to see you guys again. Idk if I'll recognize any of your names from back in the ENT era but it's megabadass to be back.

Also I really really hope the Orville isn't cancelled. That would restore my faith in humanity.

Welcome back. I was Jayson back then but I got new name now in Jayson1 just in case you might have remembered me. I think a few others have also changed their names since then.

I wonder if they'll make an Orville movie before Paramount decide decide which of the three Star Trek scripts to film!?

None of the films sound remotely interesting to me--I don't want to see yet another cast take over but that isn't really a deal breaker especially if the Kelvinverse is forgotten. I just want a film with a solid, character driven story that makes me feel like I am watching Star Trek again.
