I have to agree. The last few episodes for me have just been going down hill. Not good.
Blue man rape makes for an awkward episode especially with all the Hollywood revelations of late. Then to tie it with Kelly's cheating as an out as well? Yaphit's crush on Finn takes a nasty turn as well. Uncomfortable episode.
Enjoyed this one. I'm going with "excellent." It was composed of standard tropes, well, like every episode so far, and no surprise where it was headed, but it was very well executed. In addition, the characters remained very well defined and delightful besides, and I'm finding myself caring for these people, in a suspension of disregard kind of way, to coin (or recoin) a phrase. Nice job by Rob Lowe.
Yeah, Chris Traeger basically roofied the entire cast. But the writers clearly don't think of it that way.

That episode reminded me a lot of DS9's Fascination, and I didn't really like that episode either. This one was just plain weird. Next week's looks good though, so hopefully we can get back to the good times with this series.
I was going to say that too. I didn't much care for that DS9 depisode. I think this episode got alittle too much on the goofy side again but as long as they don't make a habit of it. So I guess her infidelity was not her fault?
This is my least favorite plot of the series so far, but if it wasn't her fault, doesn't that kind of undermine the entire series up to this point?
Though this episode had its moments, I believed the two representatives were violated against their will. It will make the situation worse, as the two representatives will not respond to the withdrawal with reasoning and rational thought. They will react negatively to each other. The belief that the two species will be open to sharing a world because of a shared ancestry is naive. They will be more at each other's throats.
Having seen the show, I was thinking to myself, did Fox renew this show too soon? It seems to have plateaued and is now on a downward spiral.
Finally, I want to bury the failed marriage and the aftermatth subplot six feet down. It is a dead weight bringing the rest of the show underwater. From the preview, we are getting more of it next week. Enough!!!!

I don't understand the whole downward spiral thing. Majority Rules is my favorite episode of the season and last week's episode wasn't too bad. What was this series high point if it's on a downward spiral.
It is an opinion thing. I wrote down my impressions of the show and the series.
I am troubled by the non-consensual nature of the thing that was happening in the episode. There are topics which I feel shoud not be funny. They have a connection to my family history. Rape is not funny. My mother was raped by her brother and by her husband and my father, and was molested by a dentist. So, I have a strong negative reaction to this show right now.

Well, Yaphet and Finn didn't know, so in a way what they did was consensual, But yeah, the alien roofie thing did miss the mark, the episode did have some funny side moments though, I don't think it's intent was insensitivity to victims of rape or their families, but it could have been better thought out for sure.
A roofie knocks you out, or makes you disoriented. No one was roofied in this episode. This was more like turning Lt. Ilia up to eleven.
I got the impression that the blue dude was just letting Grayson off the hook by implying that he was in heat when she cheated on Ed with him. I don't think he was in heat at all. Just the way he looked and sounded made me think he wasn't telling the truth about it.
