It sucks being 42 and knowing many movies from the 80s and 90s that are being memed by kids that have no clue what they're actually refering to.
Or worse.... When they do and you get this Spider-Man moment when the kid goes 'do you remember that really old movie...'

Oh piffle! 42 is just life, the universe, and everything , and that's only the beginning for the human experience! I was 42 once, now I share my number not with anyone in The Village but with a rock band... yet I act 28, despite feeling 76, so I'm sure it just averages out...

The wonderfulness of contextlessness... on the plus side, our lot can often find it fun to point out what the real twentysomethings are actually referring to, and we can more easily handle multisyllabic words! Or at least the real ones, how few people give a jot when I tell them how Fred is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...

I thought that too at age 42. Doesn't get better and sucks worse when you're closing in on 62, like me... (And unlike you I saw most of those 80s and 90s films first run in the theatre. )

It's not that bad, you just have to learn to adjust with the times as they change, (and they do change).

It's for people working in the industry to let them know of upcoming job opportunities. So more reliable than 90% of the people claiming to have information but less reliable than if it was in one of the Big 3; Variety, Deadline or THR.

It does line up with Scott Grimes saying filming would begin "in the new year" for whatever that's worth.

I cannot tell you how THRILLED I would be if and when they announce officially that production for a 4th season actually begins.
