BTW the shuttle...... It's the same one from Dark Matter I'm almost sure of it. Minor redressing and colour change but the interior is just like the Dark Matter shuttle, seats seem the same too, but I guess it was in storage so was easier and cheaper to use that.

I doubt it's the same set. Dark Matter filmed in Toronto, Orville films in LA, so the set would not be "in storage" for Orville to use. Also, Orville would have started filming before Dark Matter's cancellation was announced, making it even unlikelier the set would have been handed over to another show, to say nothing of shipping the set from Eastern Canada to South Western US.

Oh OK didn't know all that. Just every time I see a shot of them all sitting and the seats I think of Dark Matter and their shuttle.

Christians have been villains in some way for a while, so those who are going to be alienated are probably already there with a religious fundamentalist style villain. If people can survive the Ori in Stargate, the Krill will be fine.

That's a point. I tolerated the Ori story in Stargate. But by the time it was all resolved in Ark Of Truth I felt a meaningful sigh of relief. I was glad it was all over.

I really would love to see a show that's the anti of Star Trek, where if people are captured they go in with guns to rescue them, where they just do the opposite of all the tropes we see in shows like this. To me that could be fun to see things turned on their heads. That voting planet was so messed up I'd have done a voyager and taken the ship down into the atmosphere and contacted them "let my guys go or else"
