News The ongoing next Star Trek movie thread

No wonder Eaglemoss weren't allowed to release the Beyond Enterprise-A if such a radical change was the plan.

Fans would have been trying to explain it and make sense of it for years:lol:

Nice design, but odd that they’d consider moving to it right after having just launched a different one at the end of the previous film.

Here is some Enterprise NCC-1701 concept art for an unmade 2018 movie project
by Ed Natividad.
I wonder which one it was? It looks like the Enterprise and Vengeance had a baby.

Maybe it goes with the bridge we saw before, and was the Kelvinverse Enterprise-A after a redesign? Or maybe something entirely different altogether.
Bird of Prey is a bit too nu-Cylon Raider, but I dig that Enterprise, although, it actually kind of works as a Kelvinverse 1701-D

well 1 what would star trek the next generation era be like in the kelvin verse

and 2 would have the kelvin verse verison of star trek next generation be like the original star trek kelvin movies where someone from the future goes to the past and they accidently change it which alters the next generation era

But, the Kelvin incident means the whole timeline is altered so Picard and company might not exist.

I think a path forward is the use of Phase 2 ideas moving in to a new film era like Star Trek to TMP.

What might be amusing would be a pre-credit sequence where the Enterprise arrives at V’ger with Decker and Ilia, beams them over, looks at someone on the bridge and says “Ok, one down, one to go”, followed by a high speed run to the whale probe and transmits footage of the pair of humpbacks they picked up. Probe turns around and Kirk says “Done and done. What’s next, Spock?”

Opening credits.

You’re welcome.

1. I don't know, and never felt I needed to know.
2. See Number 1.

I honestly never understood it when people would come to this forum and say stuff like "I sure hope they finish up this Kirk/Spock stuff soon, so we can get around to seeing what's important: moar TNG!" As if seven seasons and four movies and guest appearances in all subsequent Trek series had somehow been insufficient use of those characters.

... tossing most of the established characters from the first 2 seasons of PIC and "getting the band back together" for the entirety of Season 3.)

@Ovation : You forgot Khan coming back with a vengeance after the planet housing the secure facility where he and his fellow popsicle people (perhaps thawed to be interviewed about history) were being stored following STID. This would allow Kelvinverse Marla to be introduced.

That could be entertaining but I was going for the “let’s nip the planetary threats in the bud”. I probably should have thrown in the doomsday device.

unlese what if picard and company did exist in the kelvin verse but are way different from the original universe
