Yes. Oh yes. His confession was a bit anti-climactic though. The good Major was much more entertaining, and memorable, it would seem.

 

Don't post here much anymore. Got far too hostile and petty for my liking, but every now and again I have a look. Just celebrated my 9 year anniversary on the 23rd of May. 9 years. My longest relationship.

 

After some research it seems I've first logged over here around 1999 (lurking in both the trekbbs and the trekrpg.net forum at the time). There's not much I remember from those old days, apart from Mirrorball Man because we were both posting on both forums.

 

I posted quite a few times before you had to register, then after a failed user name I registered this one in 2000. But I definitely started sometime in 1999, when we had a Star Wars forum and we were still part of TrekZone.

And nowadays, I'm doing good... you may recall I was only a few years older than Tusock when I started modding around here... I think I was 15 or so... so now I'm 24, and working on my doctorate in astrophysics... (thanks Trek!) Doing pretty good...

But of course, not as good as when I had my own cult following! Shall Rob Hal's Order rise again? I would need Logic to come back so we could form our LogicHal alliance again... those were such fun times. Cantina wars in SW forum... anyone remember what GBJ is? Or the hidden forum that MerloMo and I discovered, used for a couple of days, and then got banned for five days for it...

 

I was hoping to have a meetup while I was in Melbourne a few weeks ago, as I went down there for Mother's Day. I plan to head down there hopefully sometime later in the year, or next year. Maybe third time is the lucky charm.

Does Christian still run the board??
What is this 'great purge' everyone talks about??
Where is Core? (sorry, couldn't help myself )

I don't know the answers to the second two questions but Christian still owns the board but day-to-day running is controlled by T'Bonz

 

As for the other two questions....

The Great Purge - Right before Thanksgiving of 2001, someone hacked the board. It was down until Christmas. In getting the board back up and running, they had to use an old backup. As a result, everyone lost posts, and a lot of people (myself included) lost their initial accounts (I was "Mr Schlock"?). Some people lost multiple thousands of posts.

Where is Core? Do you mean Kor?

 

First joined in 2000 or 2001. Under some name my intoxicated mind was sure it would remember the password to. Nope. I'd post for a while,forget my password or username and leave for months. Come back,create a new account and next verse,same as the first.

I remember skinofevil always pissing people off. And somebody called cmontgomeryburns being revealed as creating some made-up girls' account that would ask him questions that he would then answer himself to make him look smart or something. Out of the blue he sent me an email telling me I was someone called "lt.mewa" and that I wanted to be him (burns) but would never be him. Ummm,okay.

I recall a jeffk that posted like he was retarded or something. Jethro Elvis, jrross, scotty'sfinger, and mybloodisgreen are some other names I remember.
