I quite like it. The lighting doesn't bother me at all, as it's actually more consistent with a vessel that has limited power generation capabilities . That's the one thing that always bothered me about TNG, Voyager etc, particularly Voyager - they were always banging on about having limited energy supplies and the need to conserve what little resources they did have, but every set was almost comically overlit. I find this approach of "functional lighting" to be quite refreshing for Trek.
Hmm... I don't know if "functional lighting" would be quite the way I'd phrase it. If you're trying to make do with a limited power budget, those focused, direct fixtures aren't giving you much bang for the buck. I think you could make the same space much brighter (and probably using the same wattage/candlepower/what-have-you) with 50%/50% diffuse/direct fixtures. You could even do away with the "futuristic" tracer lights around the frames.
Of course, the lighting would be much more efficient if the corridor was painted white, the way it is in the windowless corridors and service spaces of many ships, IIRC. (But, this being modern science fiction, we cannot do without the gritty ambiance...
