The Night Land

Is anyone here familiar with this sci-fi/fantasy/horror novel by early 20th century writer William Hope Hodgson, the author of the Carnacki supernatural detective stories? It can be considered an early example of the "Dying Earth" genre, i.e. fiction set on the Earth eons into the distant future, where our civilization is forgotten and natural resources are on the brink of final exhaustion. Anyway, the story of The Night Land concerns a gigantic citadel called the Last Redoubt, that exists on Earth after the sun has died and is the refuge of the last remnants of humanity. The Redoubt is constantly under attack from monsters and mysterious dark forces lurking in the wastelands, and I just find this whole concept fascinating. Has anybody here read this?
