While my PS3 was definitely a major impulse buy, it's one that will hopefully last a long time.

Bigger impulse buys: I went to Best Buy to buy a cheap DVD player several months ago, and I walked out with a new flat screen HDTV. Whoops.

Also, about 5 years ago, I bought the first 6 seasons of SG-1 at $50 per season without ever having seen the show.

I'm a bad shopper.
